Strayer, Pamela A., 63, Johnstown, died January 19, 2017 at Windber Hospice after a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. Born October 5, 1953 in Johnstown; daughter of the late Ralph E. Turner Jr. and Joan M. (Stein) Turner. Survived by fiancé, Scott Carney; daughter, Leah Ropp, married to Douglas; grandchildren, Colton and Chloe Ropp, all of Johnstown; sister, Saundra Campbell, married to Alan; niece, Brooke Simmons; nephew, Conrad Ruckser, married to Adrienne Woolbright; great nieces, Kendall and Kayleigh Price, all of NC; and her 2 cats, Cali and Abby. Pamela loved music, animals, gardening, shopping, decorating her home, and was a gifted writer. She was a woman of faith, a devoted Grammy, and a loving mother and wife, who cherished spending time with her family and many close friends. Member of St. Benedict Church where funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 24th at 10 a.m., Rev. David S. Peles, officiating accompanied with the music of St. John Gualbert Choir. Entombment Richland Cemetery.
