Obituary

Stercho, Phyllis R., 94, New York, formerly of Johnstown, passed away January 25, 2018. Born June 4, 1923 in Johnstown to the late Arthur and Florence Allison. Preceded in death by loving husband, Joseph Stercho; and son, Jerry Stercho. Survived by daughter, Robin Turner married to Michael; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Stercho; sister, Shirley Alberter; grandchildren, Jason Clark married to Brandy; Amy Stercho married to Jherime Kellermann; Jonathan Stercho married to Missy; great grandchildren, Tyler Cleghorn; Jacob Clark; Raven Clark; Alexandra Stercho; Jackson Stercho; Anya Kellermann; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was a 94-year member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was very active in the church while she was well. She grew up and spent most of her life in Johnstown, before moving to New York in 2007. Phyllis was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received Tuesday January 30 from 4-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, PA 15906, where a service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Pastor James Sunseri, officiating.
