Obituary

Springer, Raymond Joseph, 75, Johnstown, died October 19, 2014 peacefully at home.  Born December 19, 1938 in Johnstown; son of the late William Earnest and Myrtle Marie (Huffman) Springer.  Preceded in death by brother, William R. Springer and his wife Donnamae; sister, Patricia Evans and her husband John and brother-in-law, Joseph Pfeil.  Survived by loving wife, Pauline R. (Hartzell) and son, Raymond Jeffrey Springer, married to Amanda (Smith) all of Johnstown; sister, Lois Marie Pfeil, Saddlebrook, NJ.  Also, sisters-in-law, Hazel L. Riddell, Johnstown; Myrle L. Raymond, Susanville, CA; and nieces and nephews.  Raymond was a 1956 graduate of Johnstown Catholic, a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the Bethlehem Steel Car Shop.  He was a National member of the American Legion, a member of Woodvale A .C. and Senior Life.   Nobody enjoyed a party like Raymond!  Family and friends received from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 1521 Frankstown Rd.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Transfiguration, Rev. Robert C.
