Obituary

Robert Daniel Miller Sr. “Bob”, 69, of Colver passed away Tuesday January 30th, 2024. Despite a long-protracted illness, Bob continued to live his life as fully as possible until the end. Born in Colver, PA he was the son of the late Leo Harrison Miller and Juan Esias Miller(Auton). He was the husband of Victoria Ann Miller (Hazy) whom he shared many years of marriage. Bob was a graduate of Central Cambria High School and Admiral Peary Vocational Technical School specializing in Masonry. Bob was an avid Mason, skilled carpenter and also worked in the coal mining industry. He used his skills in many building and construction projects throughout the community over his lifetime. Bob developed a love for American History at a young age during the JFK administration, often he could be found reading or watching documentaries on television and loved sharing knowledge and events with family. His greatest joy was his workbench, cooking, planning the Holidays, watching the Steelers play, socializing with friends, and having his dog by his side. He loved to travel especially exploring different historical landmarks. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his two children Tracy Lynn Miller-Wasser and Robert D. Miller Jr. “Rob”. Son-in-law Brian Wasser and Daughter-in-law Christy Miller (Turcheck), along with grandchildren Samantha Ann Miller, Victoria Rose Wasser (Tori) Maddox Michael Miller and Quentin Daniel Miller. Sisters Penny Knight (Harold) and Sally Greaney(William) and Brother Dennis Miller along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his beloved brother Donald Francis Miller, sister-in law Donna L. Miller and half-brother Leo H. Miller. At Bob’s request there will be no funeral or Memorial service held. Memorials in Robert’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
