Obituary

Harasty, Stella M. (Misner), 90, Vintondale, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2019, at Beacon Ridge, Indiana. Daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Schultz) Misner. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Proceeded in death by her husband, Michael Harasty, Sr.; daughter, Cathy Harasty Peterson; sister, Hazel; and brothers, Wilbert, Laird, Clarence, Elmer, Merton, Walter, and Dewey. Survived by her children, Michael Harasty Jr. (Janet), Vintondale; Judy (John) Marines, Alva, FL; son-in-law, Jay Peterson, Clinton, PA; grandchildren, Erik, Jeffrey, Timothy, Christopher, Mark, Aaron, Karin, and Matthew; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Andrew Harasty; sister-in-law, Edna Harasty; and several nieces and nephews. Stella worked many years as a home health aide. She was a 58-year member of the First Baptist Church of Vintondale, where she served in numerous positions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Vintondale, 485 Main Street, Vintondale, PA 15961. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Vintondale.
