Obituary

Grech, William G., 63, Johnstown, passed away February 12, 2022, at Windber Woods. Born March 20, 1958, in Johnstown, son of William and Nellie (Wolfe) Grech. Preceded in death by mother. Survived by father; sister, LeeAnn Stephenson and husband Chris; and nieces and nephews, Alison, Jeremy, and Evan Scott. Bill was an avid cross country and track runner in high school and enjoyed the D Street Carnivals. He was a Senior Secretary Specialist at Texas Commerce Bank as well as a courier for Airborne Express. Bill wanted to send a special thank you to Robert and Bev Lest for all their help while he was in Texas, as well as a special thank you to special friend, Dave Diamond for all he has done. Bill also wanted to recognize his old baseball coaches Nile Hershberger, Don Edmonds, and Walt Ream for the impact they had on his life. Shoutout to the 1970 little league team, Johnny and Steve for their championship, the Houston Road Trip Boys, and the Belmont and Moxham Boys – remember the parties back by the railroad tracks! Family will receive friends Friday February 18th from 2-6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where additional viewing time will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary Mosorjak, officiating.
