Obituary
Miller, Paul E., 83, Hastings, died May 29, 2013 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born January 27, 1930 in Hastings, son of the late Peter E. and Dorothy M. (Sutton) Miller. Preceded in death by daughter, Patricia Miller and these brothers and sisters: Evelyn, Earl, Bob, Raymond, Russell, Geraldine, Clair, and Jack. Survived by Grace (Hollen), wife of 59 years, Hastings; children: Debra and husband, Felix Yablinsky, Patton; Edwin and wife, Kris Haugen, South Carolina; Audrey and husband, Francis Holtz, Carrolltown; Dennis and wife, Deborah, Hastings; Mary Louise and husband, Robert Brown, Ohio; and Susan and husband, Guy Slominski, Arizona; grandchildren: Greg (Amy) Holtz, David (Dianna) Holtz, Eric Holtz, Clarissa (Ben) Morrow, Malena and Steve Yablinsky, Michael and David Brown, Amanda, Amber, Morgan, and Kara Miller, and Matt Slominski; great-grandchildren: Ariel, Isaac and Victoria Holtz; and brother, Fred O. Miller and sister-in-law, Dorothy Miller. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Paul worked for RH Kelly Monument Company; was a US Army veteran, having served during the Korean War; was a member of St Bernard Catholic Church; St. Bernard Cemetery Association; Hastings Volunteer Fire Company #1, where he was a firefighter and worked with the fire police; Hastings Moose 353 and Hastings VFW Post 1586. Paul was an avid ticket seller and story teller. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday at the Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver Street, Hastings, and from 10am until time of funeral mass at 11am Saturday at St Bernard Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Military honors provided by the Hastings VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Bernard Cemetery Association.
