Berkhammer, Anna J., 91, Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord, Nov. 19, 2016 at Rochester Manor and Villa.  Born April 19, 1925 in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Barbara (Gordan) Gigac. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband William S. Berkhammer, her daughter Barbara Jean Berkey, and her sister Mary Bearjar.  Anna is survived by her daughter Darlene Smith and her husband Paul, Johnstown; her son William Berkhammer and his wife Lorraine, Freedom, PA; her sister Helen Yursky, Johnstown; her son-in-law Wayne Berkey; her grandchildren, Kimberly Hautz, Christine Bauer, Wayne Berkey, Mellissa Reighard, Chad Berkhammer, and Jennifer Bobak; 16 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Anna was a member of St. Mary’s Greek Byzantine Church, in Johnstown, she was a member of the DAV Auxiliary, she enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family, she enjoyed watching game shows, and spending time at the family cottage. Friends and Family will be received Tue., November 22nd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd.   A Funeral service will be held after visitation at 3 p.m. on Tue. November 22nd at the funeral home, Monsignor Raymond Balta, officiating.  Burial will be Private.
