McCabe, Arlene Gay, 79, Johnstown, passed away September 20, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born November 5, 1941. Daughter of the late William and Laura (Blue) Arkwright. Preceded in death by loving husband, Francis C. McCabe; step-children, John and Danny McCabe; daughter-in-law, Diane McCabe; and great granddaughters, Jayden and Jordan. Survived by stepson, Dale McCabe, Portage; brothers, William “Bill” (Deb) and Jeffrey Arkwright, both of Johnstown; sisters, Donna Brown, Johnstown, and Andrea Hrbal, Windber; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Arlene worked as an LPN for Lee Hospital and was a member at Martindale CMA Church. She enjoyed reading and playing scrabble. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Martindale CMA, 174 Alliance Ave., Portage, PA 15946, Pastor Kevin McCabe officiating. At the request of the family, masks will be required for the service. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Blue Knob.
