Locher, Arnold F., 88, Johnstown, passed away September 24, 2022, at his home. Born September 13, 1934, to the late Henry and Freida (Felix) Locher. Preceded in death by brothers, Charles “Heno”, Melvin, Bernard “Mitt”, Ronald Sr. “Ink”, Larry “Dean”, and two infant sisters. Survived by loving wife, Nancy (Fyock) Locher; children, Tracy Locher; Becky Carson and husband Robert; Eric Locher and wife Julie; grandchildren, Seonaid and Mhairi Carson; Evan Locher; sister, Donna Martin and husband Ellsworth “Pepper”; sisters-in-law, Julia Locher; Bonnie Barber; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and life-long friends. Arnold was a mechanic in the U.S. Army and a former employee of Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, where he was an usher for many years and the assistant director of the food pantry. Arnold also enjoyed carpentry. Family would like to thank Conemaugh Hospice for their compassionate care. Family will receive friends Tuesday September 27th from 4-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a service will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Brad Griesheimer, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethen food pantry.
