Kordish, Bernard J. – 69, Vinco, has gone to be with the Lord on August 19, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born January 4, 1949 in Hastings, son of the late Steve and Bertha (Bott) Kordish. Preceded in death by his infant sister, Barbara, and brother Robert Kordish.  Survived by his   loving wife of 47 years, Lucille (Gillin) Kordish; children, Susan (Brian) Morris, Renee (Todd) Powell, and Roxanne (Christopher) Miloro; grandsons, Lavan and Lawson Powell, and triplets, Chase, Gaige, and Carter Morris. Bernie is also survived by his brothers, Stephen (Bobbie Lee), Patrick (Carol), David (Erma), Joseph, Ronald (Joan); and sisters, Joyce McDonald, Mary DaBella (Bill), Ruth Thurman, Betty (Ralph) Weakland, Bernadette Brush (Kevin), Theresa (Craig) Zanoni, Deborah Kordish; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Bernard was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam. Bernie retired from Bethlehem Mine 33 after 23 years and SCI Cresson as a Corrections Officer after 15 years.  He enjoyed family vacations at the beach, and camping and fishing with his grandsons. He left this world just as he had lived his life with grace, strength, and dignity surrounded by love.  At Bernie’s request, there will be no viewing.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, the Rev. Andrew Draper TOR, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernie’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Military Honors will be provided by the Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps League #287.
