Obituary

Tinkle, Beverly Jane “Bev”, 84, Johnstown, passed away January 22, 2024, at Westmont Woods. Born August 1, 1939, to the late Peter and Mary (Sroka) Kullick. Preceded in death by nephew, Randy Eastman. Survived by husband, Ron Tinkle; son, Joel Tinkle; grandchildren, DPT Brianna Rae Tinkle; Nathaniel Morgan Tinkle; brother, Richard Kullick and wife Sonia; nephew, Ron Grzybicki; nieces, Kerrie Roth; Jackie Diamonstein; and fur babies, Allie and Lilly. Bev held many jobs throughout her life. She was a proud desk clerk for Fort Stanwick and a hostess and bookkeeper for Shangri-La Restaurant. She did modeling for St. Jude’s through Classy Chassy and was elected president for PSEA Northwestern Region. In her youth, Bev was selected as Miss Tareyton and was always an advocate for fitness. She was a proud grandmother and during retirement was a proud foster grandparent for Greater Johnstown School District. Special thank you to Sandy Malec, Bev and Ron’s neighbor, for all her compassionate help and thoughtfulness. Family will receive friends Friday January 26, from 3-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., with a Panachida service at 7 p.m. Funeral service to be held Saturday 10 a.m. at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Cathedral. Very Rev. Protopresbyter Robert A. Buczak, officiating. Service may also be viewed on Christ the Saviour’s website. Flowers are welcome, but donations are preferred to be made in Bev’s memory to ASPCA.
