Keifer, Carl L. Sr. “Buck”, 84, Johnstown, passed away July 3, 2022 at home. Born May 12, 1938 to the late Alvin Keifer and Mary (Vetro) (Keifer) Leidig. Preceded in death by parents; step father, Richard Leidig “Pop Pop”; and sisters, Dolores Wilkins and Shirley McGough. Survived by loving wife, Mildred V. (Shaffer) Keifer “Millie”; son, Carl Keifer Jr. (Francine), Johnstown; sister, Gabby McGough, Michigan; grandson, Carl Keifer III, Pittsburgh; grandson, Jerold Keifer (Kristie Watson), Ohio; great grandson, Carl Keifer IV; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family members. Carl was proud to be a part of the U.S. National Guard and worked as an engineer and Yardmaster for the Conemaugh and Blacklick Railroad. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Cover Hill Vol. Fire Co., Daisytown Fireman’s Club, and Daisytown Sportsman Club. Buck was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and shoot guns. Family and friends will be received Friday, July 15th, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m., Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902, The Rev.
