Quick, Cynthia Ann, 77, Johnstown, died September 4, 2017 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born January 25, 1940 to the late James and Mary Smyth in Bloomsfield, New Jersey. Proceeded in death by the love of her life, fiancé Carl Dunmeyer. Survived by best friend of 58 years, Judy Grove; nieces, Tracey Del Vecchio and husband Ken, Joy Ashurst and life-long partner Deb Thomas; nephew, Daren Ashurst, wife Aileen and daughters; great nieces, Nicole Levis, significant other Joseph Antal III and sons, Stephanie Urban, husband Will and sons, Olivia Red; and great nephew Michael Red, wife Chelsea, and daughters. Cynthia was the head cook at the Mercy Hospital Guild Shop for over 10 years. Whether she was cleaning houses, working at the factory, or babysitting, Cynthia was always working hard. Although she did not have children of her own, she made the kids that she cared for part of her family. Her loving soul will be missed, but remembered forever. Friends and family will be received on Friday Sept. 8, 2017 from 3-4 at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road. A small service will take place at 4 immediately following the visitation.
