Tomkosky, Edward F., 76, Johnstown, died Oct. 27, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 20, 1940 to the late Edward J. and Margaret (Garelak) Tomkosky. Preceded in death by son, Richard Schompert; brother, Felix Tomkosky; brother-in-law, Robert Thompson; and sister-in-law, Patricia Bracken. Survived by wife, Linda (Minzer) Tomkosky; sons, Mark Schompert, (Deanna); David Schompert; Donny Schompert, (Wayann), all of Johnstown; Michael Schompert, (Mindi), West Newton; sister, Peggy Thompson, Phoenix AZ; brothers, Albert Tomkosky (Carol); Jack Tomkosky, (Cheryl); both of Johnstown; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Tomkosky; Elizabeth Montalvo; brothers-in-law, William Minzer, (Judy); Jim Bracken; numerous nieces and nephews; beloved friend, JoAnn George, Pasadena MD; and beloved dog, Bella. Edward spent four years in the U.S. Army. He loved spending time with his family, working in the yard, and doing crossword puzzles. Edward also enjoyed taking walks with Bella.
