Obituary

Hunter, Edward Jr., 63, Dunlo, passed away November 3, 2014, at home. Born June 19, 1951 in Johnstown; son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Caldwell) Hunter.  Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Judith Johns, and his brother in laws John and Robert Johns, both of Westchester. Ed was a painting and wallpaper contractor and worked many years at Blue Knob Ski Resort, he was an outdoorsman who hiked, skied, mountain biked, back packed, birdwatched and gardened. He was a lifetime member of the Beaverdale Sportsmen’s Association. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or services, rather do as Ed would have done and spend the day in the woods, and be thankful for the blessings that are in your life. A very grateful Thank you to all the kind and skillful people at Conemaugh Hospital and Cancer Center. A very special thank you for the attentive care and compassion of Windber Hospice, and to our neighbors Marie and Adam Katrancha: We couldn’t have made the Journey without you.
