Obituary

Shearer, Edward W., 49, passed away March 11, 2018 at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.  Born March 16, 1968 in Johnstown. Preceded in death by grandparents, John and Emily Shearer; Louis and Catherine Midderhoff; and aunt, Kathleen Geiser.  Survived by his parents, Jack and Barbara (Midderhoff) Shearer, Johnstown; brothers, John (Joanne) Shearer, Marblehead, OH; and Ronald (Renae) Shearer, South Fork; nephews,  Shawn (Lindsay) Shearer, Berlin; Dustin (Bruna) Shearer, McKinney, TX; Adam Landis, Johnstown; Jay (Renae) Recher, Bradenton, FL; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews; Emily, Emma, Leah, Xavier and Nathan; aunts and uncles, Norma Hetzlein; E-Jay Shearer; Judy and Ronald Geiser; and his precious dog, “Bella”, who was a loving companion.  Edward was an American Express Financial Advisor for over 15 years and then changed professions to the medical field. He was a kidney dialysis patient for many years and a kidney and liver transplant patient. At his request there will be no viewing.
