Obituary

Wilson, George W., 94, Conemaugh, passed away May 25, 2018. Born October 13, 1923 in Johnstown. Son of the late Thomas and Elsie (Smith) Wilson. Preceded in death by parents; daughter-in-law, Lucy Koontz; sisters, Louise Bealls and Beatrice Schmidt; and lifelong companion, Mary Jane Koontz. Survived by son, David Koontz; and granddaughter, Melissa Koontz, both of Bergenfield, NJ. George proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and is a WWII veteran. He is a member of Conemaugh First United Methodist Church, Conemaugh Fireman’s Club, American Legion, and Eagles. Family and friends will be received Friday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Rev. Valerie Mize, officiating.
