Obituary

Packech, Irene R., 85, Johnstown, passed away on March 2, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center at Lee Campus. She was born August 4, 1934 to the late Edward J. and Christine M. (Albright) Beidle Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Robert L. Packech; her siblings, Olga Brotemarkle, Edmund F. Beidle, Edward J. Beidle Jr., Christine M. Beidle, and Hilda L. Regan; sister-in-law, Shirley Beidle. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Packech Sr.; her children, Marcia A. Blanar (John), Jeffrey L Packech (Sandra), Robert C. Packech Jr. (Diana); grandchildren, Jonathan, Jenna, Greg and Nick; 4 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Graham, Ryker and Grady; her brother, Charles F. Beidle; and beloved nieces and nephews. Irene was formerly employed by Memorial Medical Center, where she worked as a secretary for many years, she also worked at Ribblett Transportation with her husband for several years. Irene was dedicated to her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren most of all. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, and crocheting. All services will be held privately for family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Irene to Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church.
