Quist, Jack S., 83, Hastings, passed away at home, May 6, 2021. Born May 22, 1937 in Hastings; son of the late Rudolph and Kathryn (Semelsberger) Quist, and stepfather Faye Lewis. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Carl, and Ray Quist; sister Dorothy Knarr. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years Nancy (Nagle) Quist. Survived by son, Bill Quist and wife Lois, Hastings, grandchildren, Nathaniel Quist and wife Holly and Briana Redden and husband Andrew; great granddaughter, Alyson Becker; sister Janet (Quist) Crace of Ohio, also many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a hard worker and a caring man. He was always willing to help anyone out when needed. He was so proud of his family. Jack worked at the Westover Tannery and the Bethlehem Mines 33. Jack enjoyed a long retirement spending it hunting, fishing, caring for his property, and spending time with his family, but maybe his favorite past time was enjoying a piece of chocolate cake. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received on Friday May 7th from 4-8 pm at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver Street Hastings with a service on May 8th, at St. Boniface Church at 11 am with a viewing one hour prior. Burial at St. Boniface cemetery.
