Jean S. Ferg, 89, Johnstown , died Tuesday July 21, 2015 at Windber Hospice. Born November 11, 1925 to the late Joseph and Lucy (Jack) Symons. Preceded in death by husband William E. Ferg; son, Gary J. Ferg; brother, Joseph Symons. Survived by daughter, Joanne (Leo) Echement, Slippery Rock; brothers, James (Lovell) Symons, Florida; sister, Vivian (Jim) Dillon, Indiana; Margaret Roy, Lancaster; sister-in-law, Winny; grandchildren, Shashea (Sally) Gault; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Lucy; numerous nieces and nephews. Jean worked as a nurse at Memorial Medical Center and for the Red Cross for many years. She enjoyed going to Florida, traveling, bridge and was a member of the Westmont Presbyterian Church. Services will be announced at a later date.
