Obituary

Horner, John C., 55, Johnstown, passed peacefully to his eternal home on July 30, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 19, 1962. Son of John and Yvonne (Harrison) Horner. Preceded in death by father. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Kimberly (Williams) Horner; his mother; sister, Tammy Powers and her husband Jeff; loving in-laws, Bill and Betty Williams, Jim and Patty Williams, Donald and Rhonda Williams, and Beverly (Williams) Miller. Also survived by nephews, Cletus Powers and Clayton Powers, wife Connie; niece Tahlyn Miller; and special cousins, Michelle and Hollie Orris. He will be missed by his Yorkies, Rooney and Noorey. John graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1980 and was previously employed by JCPenney and Laurel Auto Group. As an avid Pirates, Penguins, Steelers and classic rock (especially Bob Seger) fan, he enjoyed watching games and listening to music with others. Many knew him as “Johnny Trivia” for his love of music trivia. John’s contagious laugh and perpetual smile will forever be remembered. He was a member of Westmont United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Westmont United Methodist Church, 1428 Menoher Blvd., Pastor John Mize officiating.
