Obituary

Matcho, John J., 81, Johnstown, died December 7, 2015 at Arbutus Park Manor.  Born June 30, 1934 in Windber; son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Demko) Matcho.  Preceded in death by sister, Irene Correau.  Survived by wife, Mary Ellen (Haupt) Matcho; daughters, Vicke Holley, married to Ron, Middletown; and Nancy Webb, married to David, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jill Lamb, married to Chris; Amy Howard, married to Josh; and Allison Campitell, married to Chris; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Jonathon Howard, and Benjamin Campitell and many cousins and friends.  John was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Salix as well as the Good Will Bible Class.  He worked in different capacities at the church; he enjoyed gardening, hunting, baseball and collecting baseball cards.  He was a Hex sign painter.  Friends received 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc.  1521 Frankstown Rd.  Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Rev.
