Kathleen Ann Knauer,72 Went to be with Lord Jesus on June 18, 2021 she had heart failure along with other complications.

She was born June 22, 1950 to the late Thomas and Ann Stanton. She grew up in Franklin borough then attended Johnstown high school.

Kathleen also attended greater Johnstown vo-tech where she was certified as an LPN. In 1982 Kathleen was married to Edward C. Morgart at The First United Methodist Church in Johnstown.

In 1983 their one and only daughter Melissa was born.

Sadly, Edward passed away from a heart attack in 1988.

Kathleen was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured every moment with her loved ones. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh.

Kathleen was resilient but struggled as a single parent. She spent years working at UCP taking care of people with cerebral problems. Kathleen also worked at the Lutheran Home.

In 2001 she married Albon L. Knauer. They were happily married for 16years until Albon’s passing in March of 2016.

Kathleen and Albon were a very generous couple. They enjoyed spending time downtown doing volunteer work at the senior center and delivered meals on wheels together for many years. They were truly fun loving caring people who participated in many community activities.

Kathleen became very sick after having a heart attack in 2018. She never forgot about or stopped loving her dear friends who she held so close for so many years.
