Chilcot, Mary Louise, 78, Johnstown, passed away May 24, 2019.  Born October 3, 1940 in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Kovalchic) Myers. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Chilcot to whom she was married for 55 years; and her siblings, Marlyn Priar, Janet Maser, and Ralph Myers. She is survived by daughter, Karen Henrichs and her husband Don, DuBois; son, James Chilcot III and his wife Jennifer, Sidman; her grandchildren, Ben, Franki, and Gabby Henrichs; Tyler, Braden, and Justin Chilcot; and her extended family including brothers in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a homemaker at heart who took pride in being a devoted wife and loving mother, keeping a clean and comfortable home, and maintaining consistently high standards. She worked part-time at Gardner’s Candies, a job perfectly suited to her sweet disposition. Mary touched the lives of many people in remarkable ways. Acquaintances, friends and family affectionately called her Mary Louise, Mary Lou, Aunt Mary, Grandma Mary, and Gram Mary Lou. She adored her grandchildren and took advantage of every opportunity to be present and active in their lives. She liked to participate in family excursions, counting each adventure as a blessing. Mary never showed up at a gathering empty handed; she was an incredible baker and a thoughtful gift giver. Mary was her happiest self when she was doing things for other people. Family and friends will be received Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 1 p.m. until 3:30 pm at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. A memorial service will be held following the visitation, Very Rev. James F. Crookston, officiating.
