Weakland, Richard, 78, Hastings, went to be with the Lord February 27, 2016 at Miners Hospital. He was born January 30, 1938 in Hastings. Son of William and Olive C. (McCachren) Weakland. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Barbara Estenes and her husband Rob, Patton; Richard Weakland Jr., Patton; Cynthia Weakland, Hastings; William Weakland, Patton; Paula Keefe and her husband Jeremiah, Hastings; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; his siblings, Beverly, Annette, Dotty, and Lenny; Richard is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He served in the United States Air Force, and was a Coal miner at Tunnelton Mine. He enjoyed hunting, cutting his grass, his gun collection, and his dogs. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Richard’s memory to a charity of your choice.
