Cravener, Sharon Lynne, 81, Johnstown, passed into Glory on May 28, 2018 at her home. Born August 29, 1936 in Johnstown. Daughter of the late Lila McAfee (Lees) Visosky and Melrose E. Lees. Preceded in death by brothers, Daniel Lees of Johnstown and Richard Lees of FL; and mother-in-law, Mrs. Cowan. Survived by husband, Harry Cravener; sons, Dennis of Virginia Beach and Thomas (Cindy Jones) of Johnstown; sisters, Jacqueline Cowan and Gail Beam, her caregiver, both of Johnstown; brother, Mel Lees of Ebensburg; niece who was named after her, Sharon Lynne Nagle, who also helped as a caregiver; Harry’s nephew who she was close to, Tim; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Sharon loved Jesus and was looking forward to heaven. She was a member of Johnstown Christian Fellowship and loved her church family and pastors Gary Tustin and Jim Gay. Pastor Dan of Hospice was a special friend as was her former pastor and brother-in-law, Don Beam. Sharon’s favorite scriptures were Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” and John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, Pastor Jim Gay officiating. A special thank you to her hospice nurse, Amanda, her aide, Wendy, and Sharon Troy who volunteered many hours so that Harry and Gail could do other necessary chores.
