Marcus, Steve, 90, Windber, died Oct. 24, 2017 at Windber Medical Center. Born Feb. 7, 1927 to the late Anthony and Rose (Sari) Markus. Preceded in death by wife, Julia LaRue “Chip” (Blough); and siblings, Charles, Andy, Frank, and Helen. Survived by son, Stephen A. Marcus, Windber, and his daughter, Rachel; daughter, Christina A. Rubin married to Allen, and their children, Annie, Josh, and David Rubin, all of TX; sisters-in-law, Louella Turk; Mary Shaffer; and several nieces and nephews. Steve was an Army veteran of World War II 2nd Armored Division 17th Engineer Battalion. He was also an auto technician for 40 years for Marhefka Chevrolet and Cambria Motors. Steve enjoyed hunting and loved watching sports, especially the Penguins. At Steve’s request there will be no viewing or service.
