V. Faye (Cameron) Roberts, 93, of Johnstown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 12, 2022. Faye was born on February 10, 1928, the daughter of Lawrence and Ivella (Harrison) Cameron. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George F. Roberts Jr. “Cookie”; son, Scott Roberts; son-in-law, Terry Gindlesperger; and brother, James Cameron. Faye was loved and will be deeply missed by her children, Colleen Gindlesperger; Trent Roberts and wife Vicki; and daughter-in-law, Marianne (Launtz). Her grandchildren were so special and close to her heart. Her top priority! Marcee (Gary Finch); Megan (Joshua Illig); Kurtis Roberts (Stacy); Korey Roberts (Stephanie); Kary Roberts (Kelly); LeAnn (Travis Rudge); and Courtney Roberts. Faye is also survived by sister-in-law, Shirley Cameron, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Faye enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren, “the cutest kids,” Ava Finch; Audrey and Amelia Illig; Isaac, Sophia, Lucas, Riley, (triplets) Payge, Peyton, and Rory Roberts; Mackenzie Roberts-Moore; and Adeline and Aberdeen Rudge. Faye worked at Coca Cola Bottling Company following graduation from Ferndale in 1948 and she was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia. She loved her Lord and church as a lifetime active member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, serving as deacon with her husband, George, for 37 years. Faye will also be remembered as a wonderful gardener, cook, and baker. She especially enjoyed gifting cookie trays to friends and family. In this life journey, we must all go alone as part of God’s plan, just remember all the love we shared. We miss you! A private family viewing will be held Saturday January 15th from 10-10:30 a.m. with a public service at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Harmony or Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
