Milavec, William F., 88, Bon Air, passed away June 6, 2015 at the home of daughter Deborah & son-in-law David Hamula. Born February 26, 1927 in Johnstown, to the last John and Jennie (Marolt) Milavec. Preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Dorothy M.; siblings, Jennie Tursic, Julie Luzar, Mary Petrovic, Elsie Strazisar, John, Frank, Andrew, Edward, Steve, and Laddie Milavec. Survived by daughter, Deborah Hamula and husband David, Johnstown; son, William M. and wife Mary Ann (Grego), Johnstown; grandson, David W. Hamula and wife Courtney (Schreyer), Bon Air; granddaughter, Jodi M. Milavec and fiancé Thomas (Sasha) A. Pennington, Johnstown; great-grandchildren, Troy R. and Cody M. Hamula, Bon Air; sister, Rose Klinar, Richland; sister-in-law, Pauline Milavec, Bon Air; brother-in-law, Michael and sister-in-law, Dr. Diane Gregovich, Richland; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. William was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army and a retiree of Bethlehem Mines. He was a member of St. Barnabas Church and was one of the original builders of the parish. William was a lifetime member of S.N.P.J., Lodge 254, Bon Air. He enjoyed life, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A special thanks to the staff at the Windber Hospice. Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tues. June 9th at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wed. June 10th at St. Barnabas Church, Bon Air, Father Robert Ruston officiating. Procession to Grandview cemetery. Donations may be made in William’s name to Windber Hospice or St. Barnabas Church.
