Obituary

Hess, William R., 91, Cresson, died Jan. 11, 2015 at Cambria Care Center. Born Jan. 11, 1923 in Mahaffey, son of the late Herman and Mable (Dasher) Hess. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret M. (Franchock); two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his two daughters, Carol L. Gossar (James), Ginter; Joan Southern, Madera; two sons, Gary Hess (Beth), Mahaffey; and Scott Hess (Lisa), Cresson; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Herman retired as a Crane Operator with Local 66 Operating Engineers. Member of the Moose Lodge 1172, Masion Noble Lodge 480, and Operating Engineers. At the request of the family all services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Rebekah Manor Personal Care, Activities Fund, 4848 Admiral Peary Highway, Ebensburg, PA.
