Obituary

Bess Zapp left this earthly body to be with her beloved husband of 53 years, James W. Zapp, who passed in 2002, and her daughter, Virginia, who passed in 2015. Born August 13, 1927, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Kenneth and Viola (Rodgers) Zapp. Preceded in death by husband, James W. Zapp; sisters, Ruth Mulvehill and Jenny Edmiston; daughter, Virginia Waeher; and son-in-law, Charles (Dick) Walker. Survived by step granddaughters, Juli Robard and Heidi Walker; three great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. Bess moved from the 7^th Corridor after 21 years to Cloverdale, California to live with her daughter and son-in-law, but eventually moved back to Johnstown. She was an avid reader and enjoyed baking and crossword puzzles. Her husband and herself enjoyed many deep-sea fishing trips from Canada to the Keys. A heartfelt thank you is extended to special friends and neighbors, Susan and Craig Brallier, as well as, to the staff at Villa Crest Nursing Home. Per Bess’ request, there will be no services.
