Obituary

Farkas, Catherine Ann, 98, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord February 1, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 17, 1919 in Johnstown, to the late Louis and Barbara (Boldin) Kolar. Preceded in death by husband, Clarence Farkas; and siblings, Josephine Calik; John and Frank Kolar; and Ann Chontas. Survived by sister, Mildred Walters, Lancaster; brother, Joseph J. Kolar, Johnstown; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special niece, Anne Marie Apryle. Catherine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and enjoyed gardening. Friends will be received Monday February 5 from 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. A funeral mass will then be held at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 120 Barron Ave. Conventual Franciscan Friars, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church.
