Obituary

Ward, Bernadette R., 91, Johnstown, passed away July 25, 2021, at Windber Hospice. Born April 3, 1930, to the late Clarence and Anna (Stern) Legler. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Ward and sisters, Florence Gerstner and Gertrude Mooney. Survived by children, Martin S. Ward and wife Deborah; Linda Wolff and husband Pat; grandchildren, Amanda Ward; Nicole Beck and husband Sean; and Kimberly, Daniel, and Andrew Wolff; great grandson, Dennis Wolff; and brother, Robert Legler. Bernadette was an active member of St. Clement Church and a member of the Mercy Guild. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Garden Club of Johnstown. Memorial Mass will be held Friday July 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Clement Church. Family would like to thank the staff at The Lutheran Home and Windber Hospice for all their wonderful care and compassion.
